What percentage of NFL players are on performance enhancing drugs?

Micky Jackson asked:

Everyone likes to focus on baseball and guys like Barry Bonds. But Barry’s body is more the exception rather than the rule in baseball. When you comepare the physiques of the average baseball player vs football player and it’s night and day. NFL players are much bigger. Running backs & linebackers in particular are ripped.

  9. Man, about 90% use ssteroids! Haven’t you seen those MF’s there flat out huge they look like animals, have you seen those linebackers they ARE huge! They use them to be bigger because they have to be to hold those hits, and if there not there f*@#% because they get killed with a hit from those animals.

  10. I would say about 60%. When you see guys coming out of college and hear about them adding on 20-30 pounds in the off-season it’s ridiculous. No one adds that much weight by working out and eating right. Also, like you said, look at their physiques. They have the broad shoulders, hulking traps, and skinny legs, which are very symptomatic of steroid usage. When these guys start having heart attacks, liver and kidney failure, and bad backs and knees, we will know more.

  11. I think it’s a small percentage. These guys work out a constanly . They are on Strict Diets and take all kinds of dietary supplements.
They work hard to get into the kind of shape there in. Sure there are some guys that cheat by taking steroids but I don’t think it’s fair to say 80 or 90% of them are on steroids just beacuse a few of them teast positive.
